Is BIR Commissioner Kim Henares too much?
Senator Alan Peter Cayetano recently said that the Bureau of Internal Revenue Commissioner Kim Henares is “over-acting” and “kulang sa pansin”, after the latter recently appeared on national television talking about Manny Pacquiao’s tax issue. Sen. Cayetano added that Henares should be reprimanded by Malacañang for publicly flashing Pacquiao’s tax records. (Well, you see how often Kim Henares appear on TV right?)
Sen. Cayetano mentioned that the BIR is understandably doing their duties, but for the sake of Pacquiao’s victory and for bringing honor to our country, the Commissioner should just stated “no comment” during interviews to protect the boxers tax record issue.
Do you agree with Sen. Cayetano’s statements?
